EBN # 5 Kirin

Written by Crystal Walker

Fashion means, creating something that people can wear while also feeling sexy, and confident. Kirin, a woman who had a familiar problem like most women, always had issues with finding clothes that were worth the purchase. Most women want clothes that make them feel good about themselves, and like to shop at places where they know they can show their personality and style. On that thought alone, it was enough inspiration for Kirin to start her own line called "Woodsman Wife". Living in Alabama, the fashion really comes from you and what you bring about through your personality. That's what Kirin brings through out her designs, in any process of bringing a piece of clothing to realization, her steps are simple. Orders are always custom made, and she works through the model; from the models personality, to the personal style the model can bring. Remembering her first article of clothing she ever made; she described it as a sweater with an outline of a giraffe sold unto it. Seeing your vision come to life, no matter how big or small will push you to where you need to be. Kirin has made major contributions into her dream to come true, meeting her husband, who loves fashion and designing just as much as she does. They partnered up, and put their love for each other into their work even more. Now with Kirin having all she would want, from her husband, to her love for fashion, she is moving well ahead. Kirin feels that making something that makes a difference is what her line is about, and nothing average is brought to the table. Even from her selection of models, from different color, shapes, and all sizes, but mainly it's their personality that she feeds off of. She loves working with black and white, because they are classic colors to work with. Working with black, skirts can have a incredible volume. When working with white the fabric closes and bunches. Kirin's fashion goals she has set for herself, is to put out a descent fashion line every fall, worn by local people. Doing her work with models that have the broadband personality is what she seeks out.

EBN # 3 Rod Gathings

Written by Crystal Walker
In today's age it's all about networking, no matter what field, everyone wants that tool where they can connect. From the search engines, yahoo to google, for that basic information. To myspace and facebook for your artist, friends, or family. Well, now, there is a network site just for gamers. Thanks to Rod Gathings, he is making that possible for all gamers across the world. Coming from Dayton, Ohio, he moved to Nashville attending TSU. As a college student everyone knows you have to be very creative when it comes to making a little extra cash, and Rod did just that. Rod used his gaming skills. On campus he enlisted in tournaments as well as organized them himself. Now, comparing the games that he played as a child, you can see the value in gaming now versus back in the day. Rod's first game he remembered playing was Pac Man, which took no real skill. But that compared to games today takes a whole lot more of your time, more patience, and affective strategy when it comes to defeating a stage. For Rod on campus, that, was a nesting pool for gamers, so easy to stay connected. In his dorm room, is what he noticed. He believed he should start his own social network for gamers, so once he's no longer in school it wouldn't be hard to stay or get in contact with other gamers, and different events. With Rod's strong compassion for conducting tournaments and organizing leagues he knew he could succeed in this business. Today Rod has organized a few different tournaments, some for Best Buy and Halo tournaments as well. Rod's debut date for the site to be up and going is September 8.2012. With his European writer for the site, strong global marketing plan, and his commercials he has on YouTube @ Doneson Part I and Doneson Part II"The Red Ringer and Woody". Rod sees his gaming network not only nationwide but internationally global.Be on the look out for Doneson.com Fall 2012

EBN #2 The Rose

Written by Crystal Walker
Throughout many years tattoos have been used as a form of expression. Today, many of us have used tattoos in any way imaginable. The art of expression goes beyond tattoos, it includes body piercings as well. Today tattoos and body piercings give people a since of freedom and control. When considering a tattoo, it can be hard searching for that right artist who can bring your vision to life.
Rose, the owner of "Ink Tattoo" will tells us why his shop is the way to go, in the Nashville area. Being an artist all his life, he knew what his passion was. After the military, he began to work in the corporate word which brought in good money, but it lacked passion and drive. After 5 years, he decided to go back to what he loves and where his true interest lies; he went back to art. Nashville Ink has been apart of the Nashville community for the last 3 years. Out of all the tattoo shops here in Nashville, his shop stands out for many reasons. First, his shop is located in a community, rather than off a busy intersection or road. Everyone within that community knows about Nashville Ink Tattoo. Secondly, his shop drives off of the passion for art, and not the passion for money. Money, is the last thing this business worries about. Last but certainly not least, each artist wants their customer to feel at home and feel welcome. Walking inside of Nashville Ink Tattoo, will have you will feeling the warmth, and not the feeling that you get when you are at the dentist. They are all super professionals when it comes to the power of art. About 90% of their clientele has referred at least one or two people to the shop. That shows that the customers know it's more than just a tattoo shop, it's a home.
