EBN #26 Nominee Indie Film Director Cary Wolf

Written by Crystal Walker
Cary Wolfe has an amazing talent, when it comes to photography and film productivity. Originally from Washington, Dc, he moved to Nashville at 5 years old, and now he currently resides in Knoxville. TN. During high school is really when Cary’s love for entertainment began. Being part of the school’s broadcast class, he realized he was very camera shy when it came to deliver the news. He didn’t quit, he just moved his way behind the scenes and mastered his art.
By college, Cary would rent equipment over the weekend, shoot short films, shoot small videos, and train himself daily to gain more and more knowledge as a photographer and a director. He has been working in Nashville now for a year and a half, and his portfolio just continues to build and build; from his short films, photographs, commercials, and music videos. When it comes to his work being shown, Cary participates in as many festivals as he can. Although his time is more consuming each day, he manages to have some of his work shown. Whether it’s a music video or commercial, if the time matches up, he will have his work in a festival. Now when it comes to photography, Cary has mastered this for a long time over the years. His photography put him into the position where he wanted to begin working more and more with film. Working in film, Cary Wolfe is quickly reminded that he is way younger. People really don’t know what to expect from him due to his age. Obstacles like that, he learns to embrace and deliver. Working with many types of companies from GuttaMouth, a random skate company, and Lindsey Starc with Love is Earth. Landing a prestigious position with Love is Earth clothing company, he is now the distributor. All media is now through Cary Wolfe, it doesn’t matter if it’s skateboard, skating, clothing, etc. Cary can deliver. Everyone knows when working in the world of entertainment it may take up your personal time very quickly. Cary still has his likes; he takes to the world of astrology. Nothing like looking through a telescope to ease one’s mind. Working with Cary Wolfe, he brings the idea to life. Being nominated for film director of the year, for the 2013 EBN Awards he feels that it is a very nice way of being reminded that his work is appreciated VOTE for Cary
